Dealing With Bad Temper? Curb Anger with these Techniques

Learn a few techniques to curb anger issues

When did you get angry about the little issues or when did you get jealous over someone or something? Some may say today, yesterday, or some few minutes ago. Why does this happen? The answer is, negative thought constantly dominates our minds. They do not allow the positive thoughts to function well. So, it becomes vital to curb anger.

The Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 16 verse 21, where Bhagwan Shri Krishna says,

त्रिविधं नरकस्येदं द्वारं नाशनमात्मन|

कामक्रोधस्तथा लोभस्तस्मादेतत्त्रयं त्यजेत् || 21||

tri-vidhaṁ narakasyedaṁ dvāraṁ nāśhanam ātmanaḥ

kāmaḥ krodhas tathā lobhas tasmād etat trayaṁ tyajet

There are 3 gates leading to the hell. The hell for the self-destruction of the soul, they are lust, anger, and greed. Therefore, all should abandon these 3 things. The foremost negative thought that dominates our minds is lust, greed, and anger.

Our demand for materialistic possessions is increasing. Instead of being content with what we have, we become anxious when we do not obtain more.

It is not bad to have a desire, but the problem arises when we become self-centred. These are the actions that cause harm to us as well as to others. We forget our human empathy, which accumulates so much negativity in our minds. And it directly impacts our health leading to stress, cardiac problems, hypertension, and many other ailments.
