Nokia X Series Launched Today

Long awaited Nokia X Series was launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014) ON 24TH February in Barcelona, Spain.Nokia X is the first Android powered Smartphone from the Finnish handset maker. Nokia X+ and Nokia XL dual-sim were also launched with it. The new series will gradually replace the existing low-end Asha phones.

Nokia X appears to be a mini version of the firm’s Lumia Icon smartphone when it comes to design. Popular apps like BBM, Plant v/s Zombies 2, Viber, Vine and Twitter come pre-installed.

 

Nokia X features 4 inch In-Plane Switching LCD screen, 512 RAM, and a 3 megapixel camera.

Nokia X+ has 768 MB RAM and a 4GB Micro SD Card.

 

Nokia XL comes with a 5 inch display and a 5 megapixel rear and a 2 megapixel front-facing cameras. It is powered by 768 MB RAM.

 

The Nokia X phones do not come with pre-installed Google Play Services. Though, Android apps can be downloaded through Yandex store. Microsoft services like One Drive and Outlook will also be there since now it has become a part of Microsoft.

 

Nokia’s purpose is to launch the new android phones in those countries which were till date using Nokia feature phones in a much lower range of seven to nine thousand rupees.
