Close on their toes, Microsoft is trying to steal the thunder from Apple WWDC after throwing a party after the end of the first day. The event is called the ‘Xamarin and Microsoft WWDC after the game: the future of Applications’ and will take place in a building just behind the place WWDC.

Apple updated its application for WWDC last week, and has now announced that the annual developer event will be broadcast live.
The live broadcast can be viewed on the website of the WWDC across all iPhone and iPad devices with iOS 7.0 or higher, and devices with Safari 6.0.5 and Mac OS X v10.8.5 or later.
Microsoft claims that the event will start at 17:00 PT, approximately, shortly after “State of the Union” Apple event is over. It attracts developers’ iOS and OS X with drinks and food, and throws in a couple of demos techniques to arouse interest.
