Someone who has always been known for his comic timings, and who has been the x-factor of various Bollywood movies is back on silver screen! Yes, I am talking about none other than the very talented actor Rajpal Yadav.


He is back with a project called Bhopal- pray for rain, which is a tribute to the victims of the Bhopal gas tragedy.


Over a conversation with One World News, he shared his memorable moments from the movie.


Tell us something about your role in the movie?

RY: Well, I am playing the character of a rickshaw puller who has a happy family. They live in Bhopal. Theaudience will surely connect to my character in the movie as we have showcased each and every human emotion. You will witness happiness, sorrow, excitement, pain and this will of course let you know what exactly happened to the people of Bhopal when the tragedy took place.

How was your experience like working with Hollywood stars?

RY: It was the first time ever that I have worked with Hollywood stars. It was a wonderful experience as they work hard and party even harder. They have some mesmerizing techniques to use. To get to witness these techniques was a golden opportunity.


You have very good comic timing, so did you find this serious role difficult?

RY: No, not really we have just portrayed different emotions of every human being and it certainly doesn’t mean that my comic scenes will be missing. They are there in the movie and I think you will enjoy them.

Any memorable scene that really touched your heart?

RY: As I told you it is an emotional journey, and the entire movie is close to my heart. But in the last scene, I broke down asit was so painful. It is hard to even imagine your dear ones dying and the people of Bhopal went through it. So, it is just a tribute to them.


Bollywood industry is in the era of glamour so, do you think this type of movie will entertain today’s young generation?

RY: Yes, I know today’s audience just wants to be entertained but I think people should watch this movie as it will give them an idea of what is good cinema. It is not a boring movie and if you will watch it you will find it quite engaging. Believe me it is the best project I have done in my entire 27 years of career.

One thing that you want to say to the audience?

I just want to say that it is a good project as we have really hard worked on every small thing from dialogues to looks to even on the environment which will be showcased in the movie because it happened in the year 1984.


You will be able to watch all the facts behind the tragedy, how it happened and how lives got affected by its after effects.
