The Supreme Court released an order on Monday in the ongoing Cauvery water row.
The order directed the Karnataka government to release 15,000 cusec of river Cauvery’s water to Tamil Nadufor a period of 10 days to help alleviate the problems currently being faced by the farmers.

Both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka were at loggerheads for the Cauvery water and Tamil Nadu had approached the apex court to ensure that it gets water from Karnataka.
The SC had earlier told Karnataka to “live and let live”.
