Kisne Feka: In a bizarre and gruesome incident, a man was caught at a hotel in Piran Kaliyar of Uttarakhand’s Haridwar district with his girlfriend’s body stuffed in a suitcase. Shocking clips and pics of the incident made the rounds on the incident.

Several people on Twitter alleged it is an incident of “love jihad” — a right-wing Hindu conspiracy theory that claims Muslim men target Hindu women and convert them to Islam through marriage. “After killing his girlfriend Kajal, a man from Jwalapur was planning to get rid of the body. However, he was arrested at the Kaliyar Guest House. Love jihad and murder,” the translation of one such tweet in Hindi read.

Foolproof news: The first report from March 24 said that hotel staff stopped the man while carrying the suitcase around 8 pm on March 24. After it was opened, a body was found inside. The report established that the accused was a Jwalapur native named Gulzeb and the victim was Ramsha, a distant relative of his. While this report stated that Gulzeb told cops that Ramsha had consumed poison, Jagran quoted Rural SP in a follow-up article.

Narendra Dobhal said that the accused strangled Ramsha using a pillow. The duo was in a relationship for about eight years, and the woman’s refusal to enter into wedlock was the motive behind the crime.

Moreover, Dharmendra Rathi, the SO of Piran Kaliyar, confirmed that the boy and the girl both were Muslim. The boy’s name is Gulzeb Hussain, while the girl is Ramsha, daughter of Rashid.”

Kisne Feka: The crucial no-trust vote against Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan took place on April 3. However, the deputy speaker, who called it a ‘foreign conspiracy’, rejected the voting. Imran Khan then suggested dissolving the National Assembly. Amid the continuing political tension in Pakistan, a ruckus is being circulated on social media with claims that it shows MPs inside the Pakistan National Assembly fighting each other ahead of the no-confidence motion.

Foolproof news: The top-right corner of the video shows the logo of the Odisha-based Kanak News channel. The same video was uploaded on the YouTube channel of Kanak News on March 4, 2021. In accordance with the headline provided by Kanak News, the video is from Pakistan’s Sindh Assembly. Before a Senate election, Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) got into a physical fight. Prior to the Senate elections, three PTI MPs switched to PPP.

‘Mixed Cap’ in IPL 2022!

Kisne Feka: The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has reignited India’s cricketing frenzy. In the first few days of the tournament, a claim on social media caught the attention of fans. It was mentioned in the post that the BCCI would introduce a third cap—after the Orange and Purple ones—for the leading all-rounder of the tournament. The new addition will be called the ‘Mixed Cap’. It will be half-orange and half-purple.

Foolproof news: The official websites of both the BCCI and IPL have dedicated sections for news and announcements that are constantly updated. The last information regarding the franchise league was on media rights. The said report, inviting tender for media rights of the cash-rich association, was published on both sites on March 29.

While neither website has posted an update on this announcement, there were no previous reports on the Mixed Cap. Similar to the website; the BCCI’s latest tweet on the tournament was regarding the media rights of the IPL during the writing of this report.

There was no information on the Mixed Cap on BCCI secretary Jay Shah and President Sourav Ganguly’s handles either. It is doubtful that this development to be missed by the official social media handles of the cricket body or its office bearers.
