Delhi & Noida: Rain Alert Continues. Showers and Thundershowers Expected. Improved Air Quality and Cooler Days in July.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a Rain alert is issued in parts of Delhi on Saturday, with the maximum temperature predicted to reach around 34 degrees Celsius. Parts of Delhi and Noida experienced moderate rainfall on Saturday morning, bringing relief from the prevailing heat in the region.

Rain & Thundershowers Ahead:
The IMD further stated that certain areas, including Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Central Delhi, East Delhi, Faridabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Meerut, New Delhi, North Delhi, Noida, North East, Shahdara, South Delhi, and South East Delhi, will likely witness spells of rain and thundershower accompanied by gusty winds of 20-30 kmph in the next few days.

Cleaner Air, Cooler Days:
Delhi’s air quality has shown significant improvement in July, thanks to abundant rainfall that helped cleanse the air. Moreover, the average maximum temperature during the month dropped to its lowest level since 2016, resulting in a more pleasant summer. Data from the weather office and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) revealed that the national capital received 384.6 mm of rainfall in July, the second-highest amount in the month over the past 15 years, surpassing the normal rainfall of 195.8 mm. The average maximum temperature in Delhi for July was 34.7 degrees Celsius, the lowest recorded since 2016 when it was 34.5 degrees Celsius.
