Kulgam Encounter update: Tragic incident unfolds; 3 Soldiers of Army Killed in Ongoing Operation
On Friday, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district, a tragic incident occurred where three Army soldiers lost their lives during an encounter with terrorists. The security forces had initiated a cordon and search operation in the Halan forest area after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists there. The situation escalated when the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, prompting them to retaliate. Unfortunately, three security personnel sustained injuries in the exchange of gunfire and later succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment.

Operation Halan #Kulgam:
The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Army confirmed the operation, known as Operation Halan #Kulgam, through a tweet. They stated that the operation was launched based on specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the higher reaches of Halan in Kulgam. The search operations are still ongoing as the security forces intensify their efforts to neutralize the terrorist threat.
