Delhi court sends husband of pilot to jail until August 2 for assaulting minor home help on 9 July 2023.
New Delhi (9 Jul 23), A courtroom docket here sent a pilot’s husband to judicial custody until August 2. The husband of a 33-year-old pilot was arrested for allegedly assaulting their minor home help in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka.His wife Poornima Bagchi, a pilot for a private airline, turned in on Wednesday, despatched to judicial custody until August 2. Kaushik Bagchi is employed as a ground team of workers at another service.
The couple allegedly assaulted a 10-year-old girl, kept as a domestic help at their home. After the incident got too severe on Wednesday, the couple was manhandled by a mob.

In the purported video, the couple could be seen being manhandled and crushed up by a mob. Some of the ladies were also visible slapping and pulling the hair of the accused lady, who was in her uniform. A case was registered against the couple under sections 323 (voluntarily inflicting harm), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by way of risky weapons or way), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 370 (keeping any individual as a slave) of the Indian Penal Code, child Labour Act and segment 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and safety of children) Act, the police stated.
