Air hostess Geetika Sharma’s suicide case, Delhi court to pass verdict on July 25

A former air hostess of Kanda’s MLDR airlines who had later been promoted was found dead at her Ashok Vihar residence in North West Delhi on August 5, 2012.


Geetika Sharma, a former air hostess with Kanda’s MLDR airways, who was later promoted as a director in her agency, died on August 5, 2012, at her Ashok Vihar residence in North West Delhi.

A Delhi court will present its verdict on July 25 in the case of abetment to suicide of the former air hostess Geetika Sharma in which debatable former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda is an accused.

Sharma, a former air hostess with Kanda’s MLDR airways, who later became a director of one among his groups, was found dead on August 5, 2012, at her Ashok Vihar residence in North West Delhi. In August four suicide observe, she said that she took this grim action of ending her existence because of “harassment” done by Kanda, (46), alongwith other persons. Kanda, an influential politician and businessman, became a minister in the erstwhile Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress authorities. He was pressured to resign as the minister of state following the registration of the case. Kanda is dealing under various charges that are sections on IPC, including 306 (abetment of suicide), 506 (criminal intimidation), 201 (destruction of evidence), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 466 (forgery).
