A tragic incident unfolded in Telangana’s Warangal district as an auto-rickshaw, carrying passengers, collided head-on with a speeding lorry, leading to five fatalities and five injuries. The mishap unfolded around 8:30 am in Yellanda village, Wardhannapet block. The victims, hailing from Warangal, were en route to gather honey from the forest when the accident transpired. The collision with the lorry, which was traveling in the wrong direction, caused severe damage, leading to the victims’ deaths, including the auto-rickshaw driver. As of now, the victims remain unidentified due to the severity of the collision.

Tragic Consequences Of Lorry Driver Under Influence: 

Police authorities suspect the lorry driver, who has been apprehended, was driving under the influence of alcohol. The injured individuals were swiftly transported to the local government hospital in Wardhannapet, with two of them reported to be in critical condition. The police plan to file a case against the lorry driver for negligent driving, attributing the accident to his loss of control over the vehicle due to his inebriation. The incident serves as a tragic reminder of the hazards of reckless driving and the devastating consequences it can bring.
