The minor update in Whatsapp has become a major step in the ongoing battle between government and tech –companies over encryption issue.
The popular messaging app has added end- to end encryption on all platforms , which means that now government would not be able to look into the users messages even if they want to. Nor even hackers, nor oppressive regimes nor the cybercriminals.
The latest version of the whatsapp will use the technology that means messages could not be encrypted as they travel between the devices and indeed it is good news for all the users.
In a statement, Whatsapp said that it has added the feature because “It has always prioritized making your data and communication as secure as possible.”
