A second standard student of K. R. Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar, Sunik Maggu has been modeling and acting for over five years now. All set to be seen in one of the episodes of ‘Delhi Fights Back’ in the coming season, Sunik, a child artist who started his acting career at the age of two gets candid in this interview with One World News where he talks about his work, interests and passion.

How did you get your first offer?

There was an online advertisement for kids who were interested in acting. My mother saw that and took me for an audition where I got selected. So, I did my first advertisement at the age of two.

Describe your experience of working on a set for the first time?

It was when I was two years old. I was asked to throw balloons on a couple in the ‘Vanish’ (the super-detergent) advertisement. I was guided via Bluetooth as when and where to step ahead and throw. I got a free tee-shirt for my excellent performance.

In what type of advertisements have you worked so far?

I work in different types of advertisements. When you go to any PVR, they show a smoking advertisement and before that, few advertisements are shown, so, I work in those (says ignorantly).

Till date, I have worked for Vanish, Kavach mobile, Macaroni, Dettol and a mobile safety app for kids.

How was your experience of working in this field?

I have worked in five advertisements and participated in several stage shows. Along with that, I am also working in a short film produced by One World News team.

What types of roles would you like to take up?

I would like to play all types of roles but I especially love action roles like Krrish. However, people even cast me as a girl. In an advertisement that was shot in Rohtak (Haryana) they asked me to play the role of a girl. I wore wig for that.

What are your hobbies?

I love to dance, act and play football & cricket. I am also learning to play the guitar, violin and piano in school.

What do you do with the money earned?

Presently, I am just saving them for an I-pad which I wish to buy in the future. It’s my mother who handles all this though.

How does Sunik relax and chill?

I just rest for five minutes and start working again. I do not get exhausted that often. I can work for hours without losing concentration.

You want to become a scientist when you grow up. So, how will you manage your time?

It is very simple. I can be an actor in day-time and do my experiments at night. Or, when I have to go for any night shoot, I can work in my lab during the day (answers very innocently).
