Famous veteran cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has now one of the finest politicians we can have, resigned from the Rajya Sabha and is likely to be declared Aam Aadmi Party’s chief ministerial candidate in Punjab, where Assembly election is due early next year.

Officer on Special Duty to Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Gurdeep Singh Sappal, tweeted today “Navjot Singh Sidhu, nominated member, resigns from Rajya Sabha.” Sidhu was recently nominated to the Upper House. According to the latest sources BJP leader is likely to join Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP, which is aggressively eyeing Punjab and Goa after its landslide victory in Delhi.
Not only Sidhu even his wife, Navjot, is also likely to resign from the BJP, according to reports. She is currently a lawmaker in the Punjab Assembly.
