In the first judgment of coal block allocation case, the special court of Monday announced its judgment and convicted Jharkhand ISPAT Private Ltd(JIPL) along with its directors RS Rungta and RC Rungta.
According to reports, special judge Bharat Parashar convicted them on the charges of criminal conspiracy and cheating. Rungats, who were on bail, have been taken inot judicial custody.
The next hearing on sentencing would be on March 31st. Notably, the court last year had framed charges against them for the alleged offences punishable under sections 120B, along with 420, 467, 468 and 471.
