Interestingly, KK defined love with his songs, for him it was his childhood sweetheart and wife Jyoti. Both met when they were in sixth grade. From school to his last breath, both were very much in love. He was a true one woman man.

KK and Jyoti, who were together since childhood, got married in 1991. As marriage comes with its own set of responsibilities, KK decided to take up a job as a salesman. Post which, the couple tied the knot. Within 6 months of their marriage, KK was quite troubled by his job. With the support of his father and wife, he started making jingles with his friends. After that, he received many paid assignments but he was not happy.

When Jyoti became his Sunshine in his lowest phase of life?

During his low phase, Jyoti pushed him to shift his base from Delhi to Mumbai. In the year 1994, he moved his base from Delhi to Mumbai. Soon after, he had his first breakthrough with his first album Pal in 1999. He also got his Bollywood Hit with Salman Khan – Aishwarya Rai – starrer Hum Dil Chuke Sanam. His song Tadap Tadap Ke was an instant hit.

During an interview, he revealed that Jyoti helped him to make a decision that he would have never taken for himself. He said, “She helped me get out of a certain state of mind, and she continues to do that. I am lucky that I got married before I got settled. Jyoti helped me in settling down.”

In an era where people are losing faith in true love. Their love story is a classic example that true love exists. Some people love with all their hearts and do not leave when time gets tough.

KK is survived by his wife Jyoti, son Nakul and daughter Tamara.
