India-made sugar has been exported to 121 countries across the globe, leading to a leap of 64.90% in exports during 2021-22. In 2013-14, sugar exports reached $1.17 billion and this jumped to $4.6 billion in 2021-22. This is 291% higher compared to the exports during 2013-14.

India’s dream to launch a bullet train on its soil is set to reach a milestone as the trails of the bullet train will be conducted at a speed of 350 kilometres per hour. It is equal to the take-off speed of airplanes.

The 1st such trial will be conducted between Bilmora and Surat in Gujarat in 2026. The operational speed of the trails will be 320 kmph. The high-speed trains will feature more leg space, less check-in time, and connectivity, which is denied on-board airplanes.

Fugitives who want to use the UK’s legal system to evade the law in India are not welcome in the United Kingdom, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, on a two-day India visit, said at a media briefing.
Speaking about the extradition of financial fugitives Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya, John said, “There are legal technicalities which have made it very difficult. The UK government has ordered their extradition. We don’t welcome people who want to use our legal system to evade the law here in India.”

Khush Khabri: Meet India’s First woman Forest officer to complete the Antarctica expedition
Deep J Contractor conquered Antarctica at age 38 as part of the 2041 Climate Force Antarctica 2022 expedition. In 2011, this Karnataka IFS (Indian Forest Service) officer became the 1st woman forest officer to reach Antarctica.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Contractor revealed that she wanted to take a journey for a meaningful purpose and not just visit a place. The 2041 Climate Force Antarctica 2022 expedition is a journey to create awareness of climate change among young people.

Ramandeep Kaur of Punjab and Juned Khan of Haryana rewrote the men’s and women’s 35km race walk national records, respectively, on April 17, 2022 to win top honours at the ninth Indian Open Race-Walking Competition.
The 23-year-old Ramandeep clocked 3:00.04s and clipped more than 13 minutes from Priyanka Goswami’s earlier national record of 3:13.19s, set in the World Athletics Race Walking Championships in Muscat last month. Ramandeep’s Punjab team-mate Manju also came inside Goswami’s earlier national mark to take the silver in 3:07.49s.
In the men’s 35km event, 22-year-old Juned Khan pulled away from Ram Baboo and Chandan Singh after the 20km mark to lower the national record by 5 minutes, clocking 2:40.16s.
