Currently passengers are not allowed to use their mobile phones and internet when they are in plane but now the government is planning to provide Wi –Fi on Indian Flights.
The Civil Aviation Secretary RN Choubey said he will be able to give good news in 10 days while responding to a query.

He further added that there is fairly a good chance that in next ten days permission will be given to operate Wi- Fi in the Indian airspace.
Notably on asking whether there were any security issues in allowing Wi –Fi in Flights, he said the important thing was the ability to track voice and data.
