Soon on the heels of U.S. EPA filing charges against Volkswagen ( ), Volkswagen has gone into a damage control mode.
The company has asked it’s U.S. dealers to stop sales of models of VW which are supposed to be tainted with the faulty emission control software.
The company’s CEO Winterkorn made a statement “I personally am deeply sorry that we have broken the trust of our customers. Volkswagen as ordered an external investigation of this matter”.
