DU aspirants troubled as snag hits website

Students who are seeking admission in undergraduate courses in Delhi University had complained that the fee payment option on the web portal had stopped functioning on Friday.

Reasons cited for this is a technical snag a day after the server crashed, further causing them severe inconvenience.

A large number of students turned up in the North Campus of the Delhi University on the second day of admissions after they had failed to pay their fees online to get an admission to the university.

The students have panicked as admission will be confirmed only when the fee payment receipt is submitted at their college.

DU aspirants troubled as snag hits website

A Rajasthan based aspirant seeking admission in the Daulat Ram College, Barkha has explained that, the fee payment option on the university portal was not working due to which they had to come down to the college.

And when she told her problems in the office, they said keep on trying and try paying the fees by Saturday noon. Barkha was worried that what if the portal is not working, how will the students pay their fees?

However, the Delhi University deputy dean Gurpreet Singh Tuteja has maintained that there was no problem in the university’s portal.

He also said that the problem might persist from the gateway of the bank through which all the students are trying to make their payments.

He further added that the last date for fee payment will be extended if the problem continue to persist on Saturday.
