Bharti Airtel is all set to purchase Aircel 4G spectrum in 8 circles . The Bharti Airtel will pay Rs. 3, 500 crore to access the latter’s 4 G spectrum in the eight telecom circles.
The step would enable the Sunil Bharti Mittal – run telco to become a Pan -India operator that will provide high speed mobile data .
According to a report, Airtel and its subsidiary Bharti Hexacom Limited have entered into a definitive agreement with Aircel and its subsidiaries known as Dishnet Wireless Limited to acquire 4G spectrum in eight circles.
These circles would include Tamil Nadu , Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir , West Bengal, Assam , the North East, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa.
Notably, the deal has come within the days , when Airtel is buying radio waves from Videocon Telecommunications for six regions for Rs. 4, 429 crore.
