The sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput sent shockwaves across the country. A lot has been written and said since June 14. His untimely death triggered many discussions. From mental health to nepotism war, there were many angles that came into limelight. Well, the investigation is still on. Mumbai police have not reached to a concrete decision. So far, more than 30 people have been questioned. But his fans want justice for him. Majority of them think it was a planned murder as someone like Sushant would never end his own life. Since then, we can many see hashtags trending such as #Justice for Sushant or #candleforsushant.

People grieved on his death, celebrities posted pictures of him on their respective wall saying #GoneTooSoon. TV media saw outcry on his death, many packages on Sushant’s death speculation and progress of police investigation ran the whole day. Footages, songs and dialogues of Sushant movies painted many headlines. Social media including Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp status were beaming with Sushant’s picture and messages. People marched on roads with Sushant’s poster across the country amid Coronavirus mainly in Rajput’s hometown Patna.

Just after his death, the rebel actress Kangana Ranaut posted a video message and said Sushant’s death was a murder accusing many familiar faces. The family of Sushant started a nepometer, an app designed to tell the percentage of nepotism in a film.

But all this lasted only a few days as news broke about the deadly conflict between Indian soldiers and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. Few voices were still rising and there was anger in people against the likes of Karan Johar, Salman Khan and Aditya Chopra for allegedly letting Sushant down.

Arnab Goswami, a well-known face in Indian Media who hosts multiple prime time debates on Republic TV is the only one who has kept an eye on this case. His show is equally loved and equally hated by the people for the way the show is presented. While all the media moved on to other issues, mainly the Rajasthan political ruckus between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, Arnab Goswami didn’t want to let go of Sushant demise easily. He kept debating on his show and in one his interview with Kangana Ranaut, he tried to touch many other untouched angles. After Kangana talked about Rajeev Masand, Aditya Chopra and Mahesh Bhatt Mumbai police summoned them to ask questions.

Editor-in-chief of Republic, Arnab questioned the big superstars of Bollywood including Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Anurag Kashyap, Swara Bhaskar, Deepika Padukone and more for not speaking about the death of Sushant’s death. He also questioned Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar and Anurag Kashyap for not supporting Kangana’s claim despite being an outsider, saying that everyone who is not speaking to save their work is a coward. He also questioned the investigation of the Mumbai police saying that why Mumbai police is not taking Kangana Ranaut’s statement despite she being ready to register a statement. And why Mumbai police was waiting for Kangana to speak on live television before summoning Yash Raj Films chairman Aditya Chopra and film critic Rajeev Masand.
