On Wednesday, North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un Met Russian President Vladimir Putin on his invitation to check out his Russian-made limousine.

State-run Korean Central News Agency shows that Putin and Kim visited the cutting-edge Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Russian Far East on Wednesday before their summit.

The Russian president pointed out the presidential Aurus limousine as Kim stood nearby, looking curious, as they made their way to the main complex while strolling and conversing informally.

State-run Korean Central News Agency reports that Kim “cordially” offered Putin to visit North Korea at a “convenient time” and that Putin accepted with “pleasure and reaffirmed his will to invariably carry forward the history” of friendship between the two countries.

The two leaders met earlier that day, and they also visited a space base in Russia’s Far East, indicating a united front against the West.

Putin remarked at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, “I am so grateful you are giving such attention to our visit to Russia, and I’m convinced we will remain together in our battle against imperialism.

North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency claimed in a report on the meeting on Thursday that Kim offered Putin to visit North Korea at a “convenient time” and that Putin accepted with “pleasure and reaffirmed his will to invariably carry forward” the history of friendship between the two countries.

Kim travelled to Russia on a special train to meet with President Putin to the sounds of a military band despite warnings from Washington not to exchange weapons.

Meeting at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, the most significant launch centre on Russian soil, shows Kim is looking to Russia for assistance in creating military reconnaissance satellites. He has previously said that is essential to heightening the danger posed by his nuclear-capable missiles, but North Korea has consistently failed to launch its first military surveillance satellite.

At the launch centre, Putin met Kim’s limousine, which had been brought from Pyongyang aboard the North Korean leader’s armoured train. He gave his guest a handshake that lasted for almost 40 seconds. The Soviet Union supported North Korea throughout the Korean War, according to Putin, who also stated that the discussions would touch on economic cooperation, humanitarian concerns, and the “situation in the region.”

In response, Kim promised to continue supporting Moscow while apparently referring to the conflict in Ukraine.
