The earthquake was centered near San José del Palmar in the department of Chocó, with strong tremors felt across several parts of the country. The earthquake has severely affected communities in Chocó and the Coffee Axis, with Pereira, Risaralda, Cali and other cities reporting collapsed structures, damaged buildings and disruption to transportation. Colombia Earthquake Strikes Western Region
