NCP’s Supriya Sule cautions against disrespecting Sharad Pawar; alleges BJP’s use of government agencies


In a recent development in Maharashtra politics, the (Nationalist Congress Party) NCP’s Supriya Sule, Working President, delivered a strong message to Ajit Pawar and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Sule cautioned them not to disrespect her father, Sharad Pawar, while addressing a party gathering in Mumbai. She also accused the BJP of using government agencies such as the Income Tax Department, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and the Enforcement Directorate to intimidate NCP MLAs. Sule promised that the NCP would respond appropriately to these tactics.

Warning Against Disrespect:

During the party gathering, Supriya Sule spoke out against the BJP, Ajit Pawar, and the Eknath Shinde-led government. She asserted that the fight was not just against the BJP government but also against disrespecting her father, Sharad Pawar. Sule firmly stated, “Disrespect us, but not our father. This fight is against the BJP government. BJP is the most corrupt party in the country.”

Allegations Against the BJP:

Supriya Sule further accused the BJP of resorting to tactics such as using the Income Tax Department, the CBI, and the Enforcement Directorate to threaten NCP MLAs. She claimed that these government agencies were being misused to create fear and coerce NCP members. However, Sule assured the party’s supporters that the NCP would provide an appropriate response to such actions in the near future.

Ajit Pawar’s Move:

Earlier, on Sunday, Ajit Pawar, along with nine MLAs, switched sides to support the Eknath Shinde government in Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the third time, while his nine MLAs were appointed as cabinet ministers.

Ajit Pawar also addressed the media, expressing his respect for Sharad Pawar despite their recent disagreements. He mentioned that political leaders like IAS officers should make way for the new generation to rise. Referring to senior BJP leaders who retire at the age of 75, he suggested that the 83-year-old Sharad Pawar should also consider passing the baton. Ajit Pawar requested Sharad Pawar’s blessings and extended his well wishes for a long life.

Lastly’ Supriya Sule’s warning against disrespecting her father, Sharad Pawar, serves as a strong statement in Maharashtra’s political landscape.
