Nuh Violence in Haryana resulted in three deaths and 20 injuries during communal clashes. The Home Guards were fatally shot when a mob attempted to obstruct the procession at Khedla Mod in Nuh. The internet was shut down after night clashes.

Gurugram: On Monday, three individuals were killed and over 20, including policemen, were injured in Haryana’s Nuh district as mobs attempted to halt a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession. The mobs threw stones and set cars on fire. In response to the clash, mobs in Sohna also engaged in stone-pelting, setting fire to four vehicles and a shop owned by members of a particular community, leading to road blockades for several hours.

The police have filed 20 cases in relation to the Haryana violence, registering First Information Reports (FIRs) and detaining several individuals. The violent incidents resulted in three fatalities and left at least 45 people injured.

The Haryana government has asked the Centre for 20 companies of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) to be deployed in Nuh district for a week to preserve and restore the law and order situation.

Following the intense communal tension in Haryana’s Nuh district, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, along with leaders from various political parties, has urged the public to promote peace and unity in the state. Additionally, Mr. Khattar emphasized that severe actions will be taken against those accountable for the unrest.

Yesterday, communal violence in Haryana resulted in three fatalities, including two Home Guards, and left 20 others injured. The clashes erupted during a religious procession in Nuh, near Gurugram. According to the police, the Home Guards were fatally shot when a mob attempted to obstruct the procession at Khedla Mod in Nuh, resorting to stone-pelting and setting vehicles ablaze. As a consequence of the night clashes, the authorities decided to shut down the internet.
