Five Lashkar Terrorists Killed in Encounter by J&K Security Forces!

In a two-day operation in Kulgam district, J&K Security Forces successfully encountered five Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. Two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were also killed in the same area in October.

Five Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed on the second day of an anti-terror operation carried out by J&K Security Forces.

In a decisive two-day operation, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district successfully neutralized five Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists. The encounter, which began in the Damhal Hanji Pora area, concluded with the combined efforts of Kulgam Police, the Army, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

The anti-terror operation was initiated based on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the region. Upon cordoning off the area on Thursday, the terrorists engaged in a fierce gun battle with security forces, leading to the elimination of five militants on Friday. The operation witnessed intermittent exchanges of gunfire, including a night-long lull followed by renewed clashes in the Nehama area of Kulgam.

“Incriminating evidence” was reportedly discovered during the operation, indicating the involvement of the terrorists in nefarious activities. A senior police official confirmed that the operation is in its final stages, with the area being meticulously sanitized.

The encounter marks another successful blow against terrorism in the region, with recent instances of security forces eliminating terrorists affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen in the same district. In October, two terrorists with ties to Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in a separate operation.

The official Twitter handle of Kashmir Zone Police (@KashmirPolice) provided updates on the operation’s progress, stating, “Day 2: Five terrorists neutralized by Kulgam Police, Army, and CRPF. Incriminating materials were recovered. Operation in the final stage; area being sanitized.” The tweet also mentioned that three bodies have been sighted but are yet to be retrieved.
