Social media posts alleging involvement of RSS functionary, his son In Manipur Naked girls video; FIR registered
An FIR has been registered with the aid of the Manipur Police towards unidentified accused for allegedly circulating an image of a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary and his son and claiming that they had been directly involved in parading women naked in the northeastern state.
In a statement on Sunday, the Manipur Police said its Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS) had received “a file from a functionary of a political dignitary that a photograph of him and his son, collaged with a screenshot of the viral video of two ladies paraded, along with a caption that they have been immediately involved in the crime, was uploaded on diverse social media platforms”.

” A case is taken up at the CCPS for spreading false news with intent to cause injury, damage to his reputation and create serious breach of law and order,” the statement said.
The video of the 2 girls being paraded naked by the members of a Manipuri community surfaced in the closing week, triggering a nationwide outrage.
