A married Indian woman traveled to Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to meet her friend, whom she befriended and fell in love with on Facebook.
The woman, recognized as Anju (34), told her husband Arvind that she was going to Jaipur for some days. She is now at the Dir district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, gone to meet her 29-yr-old Pakistani buddy Nasrulla.
Nasrullah, who works in the clinical area, and Anju became buddies at the social media platform facebook a few months ago.

Anju has been on a journey to Pakistan for a month and has not gone there to marry him. The Indian woman initially came inside the custody of the police but was released after her travel files were validated by the district police.
A crew of Rajasthan police reached the home of Anju in Bhiwadi to enquire about her after media reports.

Her husband Arvind told police that she left Bhiwadi on Thursday on the pretext of going to Jaipur, but the family later got to know that she was in Pakistan.
“She left home saying she has to meet her buddy. I talked to her on WhatsApp a few days in the past and got to know that she was in Lahore,” Arvind said to police.
He said they both were married in 2007.

“Anju’s husband stated that she left home on Thursday. She had a valid passport,” Assistant Superintendent of Police Bhiwadi Sujit Shankar told PTI.
He stated that the family has not registered any complaint regarding the matter.
The couple works in a company in Bhiwadi and has a 15-yr-old girl and a six year old son.
Arvind informed the media at his home that his spouse informed her sister that she was in Lahore and later he also spoke to her.
Further investigation is underway.
