Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha has taken legal action by approaching the Delhi High Court to challenge a trial court’s decision that prevented him from being evicted from the government bungalow assigned to him. The case was expedited for consideration and is scheduled to be heard on Wednesday.

Court Lifts Stay on Raghav Chadha’s Bungalow

Raghav Chadha’s legal representative informed the court that he had received a notice regarding eviction proceedings, and it was emphasized that the trial court’s previous stay order had been lifted. Earlier this month, on October 5th, the trial court ruled that Raghav Chadha could not assert an absolute right to retain the government bungalow for the entire duration of his tenure as a Rajya Sabha MP, especially after the allocation had been cancelled. This decision was made as the trial court revoked an interim order from April 18th, which had prohibited the Rajya Sabha Secretariat from removing Raghav Chadha from the government accommodation.
