Delhi Rape Murder: Teenager Allegedly Gang-Raped and Killed in Swaroop Nagar, Decomposed Body Found in Field, 3 Juveniles Among 4 Held

A disturbing Delhi rape murder case has come to light in the Swaroop Nagar area, where a teenage girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and stabbed to death before her body was dumped in an open field. Police have apprehended four people in connection with the case, including three juveniles and one adult. The incident has drawn attention to Delhi crime and concerns surrounding the safety of minors.

Decomposed Body Found in Swaroop Nagar Field

According to reports, the case came to light on September 13, 2026, after police received information about a body lying in a field near Kushak Road in Swaroop Nagar. The body was reportedly in a highly decomposed condition, making identification difficult during the initial stage of the investigation.

Reports said that parts of the body had been attacked by stray dogs and that one hand was found separated from the body. Police began investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and worked to establish the identity of the victim.

The medical examination reportedly supported allegations of sexual assault, while investigators also found injuries consistent with the reported stabbing.

Four Suspects Held, Including Three Juveniles

Police have apprehended four suspects in connection with the case. According to media reports, the group includes three juveniles aged 16 and 17 and a 19-year-old adult.

Investigators are examining the alleged involvement of each suspect and reconstructing the sequence of events leading to the teenager’s death. Reports indicate that the victim and some of the suspects were known to each other.

The investigation is focused on determining where the alleged sexual assault occurred, how the victim was transported and what happened before her body was left in the field.

CCTV Footage Helps Police Trace Suspects

CCTV footage reportedly played an important role in the investigation. Police examined footage from more than 50 cameras covering routes around the suspected crime scene and nearby areas.

Investigators reportedly noticed a tempo moving around the relevant location. Although the vehicle’s registration number was initially difficult to identify because of poor visibility, police tracked its movements through CCTV cameras installed at different locations.

The investigation eventually led police to Khadda Colony in the Swaroop Nagar area. The tempo driver was questioned, and the investigation subsequently led to the other suspects.

Police have reportedly recovered two knives, clothing and the tempo as part of the investigation.

Investigators are also looking into the individual roles of the accused and whether anyone else may have been involved.

According to reports, the victim’s family had not initially filed a missing-person complaint. Police later worked to establish the victim’s identity and trace her movements before connecting the case with the suspects.

POCSO Act Provisions Invoked

Since the victim was a minor, provisions of the POCSO Act have been included in the case. Police have reportedly registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita along with Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The investigation will determine the facts and individual responsibilities through evidence collected by the authorities. The juveniles will be dealt with under the applicable juvenile justice framework.
