A Rajasthan couple committed suicide after their daughter married in another caste
A couple in Rajasthan allegedly committed suicide because their daughter married her boyfriend outside their caste, the police stated. The investigating officer said that police has also found a suicide note from the pocket of Ashok’s(father) clothes, which read that they were ending their life as they could not bear their daughter’s decision to marry a man from another caste. They jumped before a moving train and died on the spot.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at the Pali-Jodhpur motorway in Pali district. Upon receiving a call, the police reached the spot and recovered the bodies.

Satyanarayan Rajpurohit, assistant sub inspector at Sadar police station in Pali, confirmed the proceedings.
The deceased have been identified as 55-year-old Ashok Vyas and his 50-yr-old wife Meena Vyas, residents of an old Housing Board in Pali. Their bodies have been stored within the mortuary of Bangar health center.

A day before the incident, the couple tried to persuade their daughter not to enter into an inter-caste marriage, however she refused to listen, the police said.
In the meantime, the police are unable to contact their son as his cellphone is switched off, and no person is aware of his whereabouts. In the meantime, many people from their community gathered outside the mortuary.
