Mr. Om Prakash, Director-General and Inspector-General of Police said that on various occasions the team would have to act tough to maintain the discipline of law and order or to be saved from any untoward incident, but most of the times only one side of the story is highlighted. “When it comes to police, only one side of the story is highlighted”, he added.

Speaking on the Police-acting-tough, Mr. Om Prakash, Director General stated that on most of the occasions, people hardly got complete information about the incident happened and the circumstances created which forces the police to act tough.
Additionally, “Police personnel are not outsiders. They are also human beings and part of society. Society, however, thinks differently about the person wearing khaki and there is a need for changing society’s perspective of the police.”
