Son of an autorickshaw driver (Rajkumar) from Enakur (Bhalki taluk), Dinesh has bagged 31st rank in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Dinesh Rajkumar, a student of Sri Channabasaveshwar Gurukul in Karadyal in Bhalki, has had the smart brain from his childhood.
Before the NEET, he scored 93 % in the The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams and scored 94 %marks in pre-university exam. He stood 500th in the State in the CET medical rankings and had recently joined the MBBS course at Bangalore Medical College, said Basavaraj Molkeri, Gurukul principal.
He took the education in Kannada medium till SSLC, before joining the Gurukul for PUC.
