Indian Railways reaches out to its passengers and customers on Social Media in a big way. Indian Railways is now one of the leading handles on twitter and one of the most popular pages on Facebook.
Popularly known as Rail Min India, in Social Media has acquired a following of 4.51 Lakh followers on its twitter handle, and more than 3.8 Lakh on its Facebook page.
In an unprecedented move directed and led by the Minister of Railways, Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, all DRMs and General Managers of the Zones have created their own official handles in order to interact closely with the passengers and offer real time solutions.
