Chris Evans, the presenter of Top Gear on BBC tweeted on Monday saying
that he is stepping from his post.

The tweet read- “Stepping down from Top Gear. Gave it my best shot but sometimes that’s not enough. The team are beyond brilliant, I wish them all the best.”
The reason for his resignation is the fall in the viewing rate of the show. On Sunday, the show hit 1.9 million viewers, which has been the lowest so far.
Matt LeBlanc, Rory Reid, Chris Harris, Sabine Schmitz and Eddie Jordan (the other presenters) are going to continue being a part of the show.
