DU’s second cut off out: Expect drop in marks in fewer courses

Delhi University has announced the second cutoff list for the admissions to its undergraduate programmes on Monday. And one can witness some considerable drop in its percentages, but the sad part is that some colleges have closed the enrollment to popular courses such as Economics Honours and B.Com.

Ramjas College which had marked the highest cutoff at 99.25 per cent for the course B Com Honours, and 98.5 for Economics Honours had brought it down to 97.5 per cent.

The highest percentage that reached in the second cut-off list has been announced by Lady Sri Ram College with 98.25 per cent for Psychology Honours, and the percentage required to be in B Com Honours is 97.5 per cent in the college.

Whereas, economics at the Miranda House is available with 97.25 per cent, 96.25 per cent of Daulat Ram College, 97 per cent at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, 96 per cent at College of Vocational Studies and97.75 for Shri Ram College of Commerce and Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce.

The Delhi University had received 2.5 lakh applications for the 54,000 seats in its 63 colleges. The students should hurry up as they have only three days to take admission under the second list following which the next cutoff list will be released by the University.
