Biggest Diamond of World to be auctioned on June 29th

“Lesedi la Rona”the largest existing diamond of gem- quality today would be auctioned on June 29th in Londnon. According to the auction house Sotheby it is expected to sell for $70 million.

It is believed to be around 2.5 to three billion years old, the tennis ball sized diamond was excavated in Botswana in November 2015. David Bennett, the chairman of Sotheby jewelry division said that the size of Lesedi La Rona amazed the experts.

He further added that it would be worthwhile, if people will come to see it because they won’t be seeing it again it in two or three year’s time.
