This function was organized by the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, in Saboo Dho. The statue has been donated by Harshdeep Kamble, a Maharashtra cadre IAS officer working for the cause of social justice, to mark the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Ambedkar.

A grand memorial park has further been planned at the venue, where this statue stands. Fadnavis has also decided to hold discussions for the development of the memorial with the help of government of Jammu and Kashmir.

The state government accompanied by various social organisations, had taken the initiative two years ago to celebrate BR Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary.
