It is one of the most iconic images to emerge from World Trade Center terror attack that brought attention to the devastation witness in New York.
Marcy Borders who was inside the Twin Towers during the attack, managed to escape onto the street. She was covered with the ash and concrete powdered smog that came as the World Trade Center started to fall after both of the towers were struck, at the time the photos was taken.
She survived it only later to be consumed with her fight with cancer that had overtaken her body since 9/11.
