The Lion king earns more than Spiderman: Far from home on day one

One of the most awaited animated films of the year The Lion King released on big screens in India this Friday.  The Lion King has earned 11.03 crores on the first day of its release. The movie has been released in four languages Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu on 2,140 screens in India. It has earned more than the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home which earned 10.05 crores on day one.

Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan has dubbed in Hindi for Mufasa and Simba

The Lion King which has been dubbed by King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan in Hindi will witness growth over the weekends. Children along with their families are the target audience for the film who has been eagerly waiting for the film to hit the screens.  The film received positive to average reviews and the word of mouth is decent. It is set to enjoy 35+ crores weekend in India in all four languages.

The Jungle Book famed Jon Favreau has directed the film who is also known for directing first two parts of Marvel’s Iron Man.  Favreau brings the memories of the Simba’s adventure with amazing CGI animation.

It has been dubbed by Shreyas Talpade, Sanjay Mishra, Asrani and Ashish Vidyarthee apart from the father son duo of Shah Rukh and Aryan.  Hans Zimmer has produced the music and recrated the iconic song ‘Circle of Life’. ‘Circle of Life’ song has been released in Hindi version by Disney India. It has been sung by Sunayana Sarkar and Lebo M and named “Zindagi Dor Si”.
