The iQOO 16 launch date has officially been confirmed for September 29, 2026, in China. iQOO has scheduled the launch event for 7:00 PM local time, which is 4:30 PM IST. The company has also confirmed that sales will begin in China immediately after the launch event.

The upcoming smartphone is being positioned as a performance-focused flagship, with iQOO highlighting its display technology, gaming capabilities and redesigned appearance. While the China launch is now official, the company has not yet announced an India launch date for the iQOO 16.

iQOO 16 Colour Options Revealed

Along with the launch announcement, iQOO has revealed three colour options for its new smartphone. The iQOO 16 colour options are Chasing Light, Legendary and Racing Track. Each version gets a different rear-panel treatment.

The Chasing Light version uses a laser holographic finish with red and blue light effects over a silver background. The Legendary variant features a white rear panel with a silver-grey appearance, while Racing Track uses a darker finish inspired by the purple colour associated with Formula 1 racing.

These colour choices give the iQOO 16 a more distinctive design while maintaining the performance-oriented identity associated with the brand.

iQOO 16 Specifications: 2K 165Hz AMOLED Display

One of the biggest highlights among the confirmed iQOO 16 specifications is its display. iQOO has announced a 2K-resolution AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The company says this will make the phone the first smartphone to combine a 2K display with a 165Hz refresh rate.
