SHIVA – The Founder and Owner of all Yoga and Tantra. Shiva was a yogi, the Adiyogi or the first yogi, and also the Adi Guru, the first Guru, who is the basis of what we know as the yogic science today.

Lord Shiva

He used to live at Mount Kailasa. In the tradition of Hinduism, Shiva is seen as the Supreme God. Shiva depicted as a yogi, he may be shown sitting and meditating. His epithet ‘Mahāyogin’ refers to his association with yoga. It was during the Epic period that the concepts of tapas, yoga, and asceticism became more important and the depiction of Shiva as an ascetic sitting in philosophical isolation reflects these later concepts. Shiva is also known as ‘Adiyogi Shiva’, regarded as the patron God of yoga, meditation and arts.
