Discuss the spread of virus through online games.

There are many games available on torrent, which are virus affected and uploaded by the hacker. Once children download it on their computer, it affects or steals their online credentials like credit card or debit card details. Many apps nowadays are available on Google Play Store from where people download without reading terms and conditions, which can further leak their contacts, call details, etc to the third party.

To what extent it misuses personal information?

Through any app or software which are virus or spyware effected, hackers can hear or view the victim through his laptop camera / mike, and can also download the computer files as well as well as can read whatever victim is typing into his or her browser for e.g. if victim is booking railway ticket through IRCTC site and enters bank credentials, then that can be copied by the hacker within a second through these virus effected software / games.

For gaming:

1.Instruct your child to always get your permission before making an in-game purchase that involves cash, and not points.
2. Monitor and/or play games with your children. There’s absolutely no substitute for being an involved parent.
3. Keep the console or computer in a public area of the house rather than in the child’s bedroom. This will help you keep an eye and ear on the action.
It takes only a little vigilance but helps to avoid big losses. So, the next time you log on to the virtual world, make sure you read before you tread!
