There is a slight chill in the air and you are nicely cuddled in your warm blanket, and then the alarm goes off. Yes, we have all experienced this awful feeling when we have to force ourselves to leave the comforts of our bed and get to the daily humdrum of life.

But, did you know that there is a right way to do this? Imagine getting started the right way. A good morning routine can transform your life for the better- not just physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Here is a list of ten things that you should start inculcating as a habit to lead a much happier and healthier life.

 

1. How about waking up early in the morning? It is not that difficult

Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise”. We all know this quote by heart, something that we have been told ever since we were kids. There is so much truth in this quote that we cannot choose to ignore it. Wake up early at a fixed time everyday and see how you suddenly get more time for everything else.

2. Phone ko Keh Do Bye – Bye 

We have become so dependent on our phones that they are literally the last and the first thing we see before we go to sleep and as soon as we wake up. Keep your phone away for  2 hours after you wake up.

3. A glass of warm water to make you feel better and glow all- day 

Nothing helps you to feel better than a glass of warm water taken empty stomach. If you want, you can add aloe vera juice to this and see the wonders it does for your body. It will not only flush out the  toxins naturally from your body, but improve digestion, clear your skin and many more.

 

4. Make your bed- We often forget but it helps us to charge ourselves for the entire Day 

There is a simple logic behind this small act. It helps you feel in charge, it helps you feel that you have accomplished a task (even though it seems unimportant) and gives you the power to waltz through the day.

 

5. Meditate: Your Mind needs you! 

15 minutes of mindful mediation or even chanting a mantra will help your mind clam down and make the entire day very breezy.

6. Write down what you are grateful for

This is a practice that helps you in showing more gratitude and being thankful for what you have. Psychologically, it is a huge confidence – booster.

7. Soak in the sun

It is very important to get our daily dose of Vitamin D and a few minutes spent in the sun can really help you do that. It will also leave you feeling very refreshed.

 

8. Eat a healthy breakfast – Don’t skip it 

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So, make sure that you add a lot of proteins, fibres and grains to your breakfast.

 

9. Plan your day

Set out by making small goals for your day and list all the things that you have to get done. This will help you feel in charge and also work throughout the day with ease.

 

10. Sleep! Sona is Important, right? 

Well, this is not really a morning habit, but something that leads to your morning. Making sure that you get enough restful sleep is very important to keep your body up and running. Go to bed early and get a minimum of 6-8 hours of sleep every day.
