While covering the 4th Delhi Literature Festival at Dilli Haat, we got to meet with Avirook Sen, the eminent journalist who is known for his non-fiction ‘Aarushi’, a detailed book on the murder case of 14- year-old girl Aarushi Talwar.

This case has been a very confusing since it’s beginning. Aarushi’s parents Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar have been convicted for the murder. A special CBI court in November, 2013 sentenced them to life imprisonment. On the other side, according to the personal views of the author, he believes that the victim’s parents have been framed for the crime.

Avirook is one of those journalists who has given his precious time attending the court trials to know deeply about the murder case and has put all in his book. When OneWorldNews.com asked him about the hurdles he had to face, he answered ‘’It was not that I had to face any hurdle while doing this all but yes ,what I had to do is to travel a hundred and ten kilometers everyday from Gurgaon to Ghaziabad and then coming back. One thing which I faced was that some information was deliberately suppressed by the CBI and it did take some effort to get that out.”
