Kishwar Merchant, who is a versatile actress of television world, recently had a candid chat with us. Getting easy, she shared her experience of being a part of television for almost a decade now.

 

1. You started your career with Hip- Hip Hurray. How is the feeling of being a part of Television industry for almost a decade now?

I feel great because now I don’t need to tell people who I am. People recognize me with my various characters that I have played so far.

2. Do you think television industry has changed in these 10 years?

Yes, of course in the journey of these ten years I have witnessed lot of change in T.V. industry. Daily soaps have evolved with period of time now they are not just about tears or Saas and Bahu, rather they are also based on some social issues and now reality shows are also in trend.

 

3. Which character of yours is close to your heart?

I think every character I play is close to my heart. It is difficult for me to choose any one of them.

 

4. Is it difficult for a girl to pursue her dreams after marriage? What’s your take on it?

No, I don’t think so. It depends on how passionate you are for your work. If someone has true dedication, no one can stop her.

5. How is the journey going on in Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar?

Everything is going well. I am enjoying my character in the serial and the biggest achievement for all of us is that in a very short span of time we have got a lot of viewership.

 

6. You have worked in Savdhaan India for several times. Don’t you think shows like Savdhaan India, Crime patrol, Gumrah are leaving negative impact on our society?

As an actor, I understand my social responsibilities towards society. True, they are giving out negative messages but then whatever is telecast is not imaginary, they are based on real incidents.

7.Any plans to enter Bollywood? If you get a chance to work in Bollywood with whom would you like to share screen?

Well, I don’t have any such plans. Though, I would like to share screen with my favorite actor, Shah Rukh Khan.

 

8. Your singing talent recently got revealed. How was the first time singing experience?

Apart from acting, I love to sing also and when I got the chance to lend my voice to Khushnuma it was like a dream come true.

 

9. How is Kishwar Merchant as a person?

She is bold and outspoken.

 

10. Is there anything that you have not still attained as an actor?

I think satisfaction is very important for an actor and I am satisfied with my work. I will answer your question differently. As an actor I have attained satisfaction.
