The new guideline was given by Gregory L. Fenves, the current President of the University. Though, Gregory himself does not believe in such notion, he is forced to implement this rule because it is a public university. The weapon has to be fully concealed and the person who possesses it should be 21 years or older. The rule is effective from the 1st Of August.

The SB 11 law has made the carrying of guns in universities possible. This new rule has raised serious concerns of many parents and reluctance by students, but, the law makes the rule enforceable.
