How To Maintain Summer Hygiene

Summer is here, which means it is time to put on your bathing suits, head to a beachy location, and enjoy your time in the sea. Summer is a magical season, but it also means that we need to be extra cautious about personal hygiene during this season and take these important steps to ensure that we stay healthy. So here are the five most important tips for summer hygiene, because you deserve to be happy and healthy this summer.

  1. Stay Hydrated

One of the most important things to do during summer is to keep yourself hydrated. Make sure that you carry a water bottle around and keep drinking water at regular intervals. It is better if you fill your day with a more liquid diet, like having milk, cold lemonade, or anything that helps you regulate body temperature.

2. Use Sunscreen

As much as you might like the feel of the sun on your skin, it is important to keep your skin protected by using sunscreen with high SPF. This will protect you even when you are sweating or going swimming.

3. Shower Regularly

One of the things that come with summer is sweating. So make sure that you shower before going to bed or after coming back from a tiring day of work. The shower will not only clean your body but help you feel mentally relaxed and ready for the rest of the day.

4. Foot Care

To prevent fungal infections make sure that you keep your toenails cut and always wash your feet after you come back from outside.

5. Stay Cool

You should not spend a lot of time in sweaty or humid conditions. Make sure that you wear cotton clothes that are comfortable and easy to breathe in. Avoid wearing dark clothes and synthetic fibres as these might not allow your skin to breathe, causing skin irritation.
