Good news: Delhi government to conduct a survey for assessing psychological & emotional impact of the pandemic on students

The Delhi government has decided to conduct an extensive scale survey to understand better how covid-19 affected school-going children’s psychological and emotional behavior. This survey will take place for the 4th time in the last few years.

Good news: ‘Har Ghar Jal: Himachal Pradesh is on its way to providing clean water supply to every rural household

The state government said that the center is providing complete assistance to reach its target of delivering tap water connections to each and every individual of the state. Currently, Himachal Pradesh ranks 8th in the country to provide tap water connections to rural households.

Good news: Madhya Pradesh school education department launches toll-free helpline number for students

The toll-free helpline number is 18002330175. Students can dial this toll-free number and get advice on exams, career, covid protocols apart from receiving counseling on managing their mental health during the exam season.

Good news: Jharkhand government to distribute tablets, mobile to 21000 ST, SC OBC students

The government would also provide students with a SIM card and a recharge of 2GB of data per day, ensuring their daily classes are not impacted. The devices will be updated with all the important widgets and applications.

Good news: Karnataka launches ‘Grama one’ program in 3000-gram panchayats

In a bid to provide government services at the doorstep, the Karnataka government has launched “Grama One’ in 3026-gram panchayats. All villages of Karnataka will be covered by this initiative by the end of March.

People will get services like Aadhar Card, Ration Card, and other services related to departments like agriculture, horticulture, revenue, women, and child welfare at their doorstep. Using technology and modern equipment, the government will provide seamless service to people.

Good news: Delhi to become 1st state in India to have 1500 electric buses

Delhi’s efforts to promote the use of electric vehicles gain momentum as it is set to become the 1st state to have 1500 electric buses, these buses will get into service as part of the grand challenge.

The Delhi government has also launched a one-stop website to promote the use of electric vehicles in Delhi. This website will provide information on charging stations like their location, type of charger needed, and charging points. Recently, the Delhi government launched its 1st electric bus.

Good news: Kerala to get India’s 1st Graphene Innovation Center

Digital innovation in education is set to witness another milestone as India’s first graphene innovation center is set to be established in Kerala by the Digital University Kerala (DUK) in collaboration with the center for materials for electronics technology (C-MET), Thrissur.

This university will give a platform for students, researchers, established industries, and budding start-ups, an opportunity to test and experiment with new innovative products. The ministry of electronics and IT has given its node to this ₹86.41-crore project.  Tata steel Limited will be the industrial partner of this center.
